Banking covers money and its related branches.
Now it has become doubtful if the endorsement is as important as it was before, using ATM machine or not.
Many clients can deposit a check now using their cell phones or any ATM machine that is owned by their bank.
Still the endorsement of a check could be very important if the amount of the check is a really high amount. In the past, before a client can cash or deposit a check, she/he must first sign it on the back. This is called endorsement.
Usually there is a rectangular on the back of each check where the signature is supposed to appear. Certainly if you are inside the bank depositing a check, the teller will ask you for your signature, while if you deposit it in the ATM machine, nobody will ask for your signature.
But in some cases, will talk about it in next post, your check could be returned back to you.
Also, if you are cashing a check, your signature will be needed and if the check exceeded $5000, there is a possibility of not being able to cash it at once. The teller, in this case will have to take it to his superior or asking you to come back for an appointment.
