She said: “Mom, life is a test. Really mom, it’s like I have an exam every day.”
Wow, how would I respond to this when this very young pretty girl says such a sentence. I just became silent. I couldn’t find the words, and the reason was that I felt at that moment she was so old in soul though in appearance she is so full of youth spirit.
What in this world make her like this? it is civilization. it is what we all running after. we go fast towards everyday’s inventions and new creative ideas without thinking of any consequences. Instead of having happy children around us, we drove them far away, sad and miserable, coz they are not able to see a bright future ahead of them.
Our youth became very gloomy full of doubts about themselves and about everything surrounding them.
What on Earth made them like that?
How can we let the happiness enter their hearts once again, without feeling any burdens towards life. How should we give them back the confidence which we pulled away from them from under their feet, and left their bare feet on the hot asphalt.
It is torturing to feel helpless, it is cruel not to enjoy your youth, while you know that you don’t have such a long time in your journey on Earth.
Wow! I wanted to pat her back and tell her that there will be better days. It is always one day up and one day down. or two days up and two days down. i wanted to make a joke to distract her from feeling heavy in her heart, of feeling fear of the future.
Jessica sent that letter to us, to which my co-workers and I agreed. Our children- kids and youth no longer have time for themselves. We are busy and away from them most of the time, and when we are not, they are busy, and we can’t blame them!
Jessica! Your daughter most probably meant that she was under stress, as if she was having an exam, so you might as well try to talk to her about what kind of stress she is under and how you can help her.
If that day come, a day of satisfaction and enjoyment, Jessica would be so happy to see her daughter not panting after a false dream! Reality sometimes is shocking but you need to deal with it. False dreams are dangerous.
