All you need to do is to try to lighten up life for your elderly. Encourage, compliment, laugh, engage in talking about your elderly’s activities and invite her/him to do some hoppy such as biking, walking, crafting, coloring, drawing, hiking, exercising, or any other source of pleasure and self-satisfaction.
