Seniors can be very inspiring and cheerful bc of their long experience in life, but only if they are only given a real chance.
Exploitation, on the other hand, is heavily practised for seniors bc bad doers do not see a real defense or protection for them. Mostly elderly are victims. Victims of trust and good faith.
Housing and the possibility to be homeless made them accept stupid terms of landlords. For example, when a senior goes to rent an apartment, he is given a 40 pages contract to sign. Who can read and understand all the legal clauses that are written in gibberish?
You can imagine how such a fragile person will act. Rarely he will say “NO”, he’d rather act silent and sign in so that he can get the place which he will call it home, right? 🙄
Defend your elderly and do not let her/him depend on strangers; it might be dangerous. 😦
