Hello dear friends and readers.
One of our friends sent this letter to talk about it and how some stores do not consider the trust of its good employees.
She said: “On Sat., many years ago I was informed that I scanned a few items for myself at my register which actually did not happen. The truth is that my daughter came that day to my register buying school stuff because she did not have cash on her and she wanted to use my debit card too so I gave her my card and the discount card too. I ran the transaction for her in good faith. Because it was busy having a long line. it didn’t come to my mind that I shouldn’t scan her items.
It was an error on my part not to recall the early CPL courses in which it was mentioned that we should not help members of our families. Yet it was an unintentional error. Also, it was for the first time not as it was said that someone talked to one before about a similar incident – I wonder if there has been any record of any claimed coaching I received before.
Is there any paper signed by me that says that there was coaching done for me before? Therefore, I would like if possible to waive away your decision of the DD and if it happened again, I would deserve termination.
I hope that you would agree to that since I’ve been extremely honest at my work, and I’ve been trying hard to be a good example all the time. I hate to see such errors in my records.
Thank you for your cooperation.”
There is a lot of failed communication between that person and the manager. Of course it is the job of the manager to follow up with similar cases just in case the person is not to be trusted easily or s/he a new employee where he didn’t know his path yet.
