Writing is enjoyable but it is a crafty kind of work. Why crafty? Crafty people are known to be mind-changing most of the time and they work only when they are in a mood to do that!
Again why?
Because they have to feel that moment of the need to write. In other words, they can write late night or early morning or in any other felt moments that encourage them to contemplate.
Writers can not be committed to a repetitive work most of the time. They need to feel it then they can act .
This is the normal tendency. It is rather similar to a carpenter or a handyman who can work only if they feel it ( not under work boss pressure).
Writers are like free birds. They act when they have the right mood. In most cases this is how they feel. Maybe you don’t understand that and you keep blaming them for being unreliable uncommitted type of people especially when they are their own bosses.
Writing maybe good relaxing tool for some writers. It is enjoyable and productive when it is not under pressure. Some writers left their work place due to a lot of problems related to having a boss that keeps pushing them for having faster time in getting the job done.
There is nothing wrong in seeking the right mood to write, but when you work under pressure, it makes you unhappy with what you are writing bc part of it is not really you, it is rather like a someone else who is pressured to produce some materials that might not be his real standard.
You can know a lot about writing when you read. Reading is quite related to writing; they go hand in hand. If you are not a reader you are not a writer!
