Learning Money!

What do you think of bills and coins? Do you like its drawings? Do you like the way it weigh or the way it shape? Is there any currency that surprised you in its shape or size?Parts of the coins bring curiosity to you. Each bill or coin has its story. It could be a short or a long one. Some are history and some caused battles to start or end.

For kids to know a little bit about currency is good. It’s interesting for adults and perhaps it is more interesting for kids to know more. It’s not enough to show them the bills or the coins saying: “this is a dime or this is a nickle”, it’s not that any more. Why? Coz probably or most probably they already know that from your the supermarket or the internet stores or another source, who knows.

Take it one step at a time and make a plan. A simple plan it doesn’t have to be a complicated one. A picture and few arrows showing the names of the important parts of a coin. Here’s a good example:
