“It’s already 10 yrs old, but many of you, I bet have not seen it yet.”, Sam said.
“What was that?”, Katie answered.
It’s a movie that was liked by some and disliked by others. The reason was that it was adapted from another movie and probably what people expected was more than what the movie offered. Nevertheless, it was enjoyable to watch it in a family setting.
Although the chemistry between Richard Gere and Diane Lane was an element of success; however, there were some scenes where it was felt fake not close to reality; especially the scene where the mother was so worried about her son, being taken to a hospital for an asthma episode.
The theme, the scenes, and the story were not new. The sequence of events were known ahead of time, so there was no element of surprise unless you didn’t know the story before.
The way of handling the problems might be a bit different, but all in all it was an OK-Movie.
What you would love and admire the most, if you had the spirit of an artist, is gonna be the sea, the waves, and the hero for you would be the house that overlooked the wide Atlantic ocean.
