The truth is dear to reasonable realistic honest people. The people deserve to know the truth when it comes to people’s death. It is not human to send people to any war, and you know that you’re going to lose it, or that you’ve already lost it. Human beings’ souls are the most precious in your whole world. There is no price or value whatsoever higher than a human soul.
This movie advocates this principle, which is great, but it is not a new subject except in showing “The Washington Post” history and its fancy machines, equipment, and set-up in general. Since you haven’t been to a newspaper building before especially the big names, you would think that that is the way it is.
Again although the movie is sending a message: “Reveal the truth to people no matter what”, it takes you to the owner’s life and the friendship the White House in a sequence that was not attractive. The papers scattered everywhere on the floor and the journalists dying of continuous work.
Actors were good and playing their roles super well, and yes it is a family movie, which we haven’t seen in a long time, with no profanity whatsoever. Amazing. Very high class of people, I guess 🙄
You cannot say it is a thrilling drama as claimed although had a big name for direction and actors. Some exaggerations here and there but harmless. May be it is a promo for the Washington Post, but it was not impressive. Something was missing!
The movie is “The Post”. The main actors are Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks. and the director is Steven Spielberg.
The people deserve the truth and not to be lied to, but “The Post” shows that is easier said than done, and it’s harder than just writing a story and sending it to the presses.
