Great! How would you like to introduce yourself to our readers?

Gigi

I am a 19 year old male who has a passion for dance and helping others. Zumba is a way for me to do what i love and help others achieve their goal in losing weight and becoming healthy.

Sophie

Do you do anything else?

Gigi

I also do drag. It is my art and passion.

Sophie

What is that?

Gigi

Drag is an art form. For males it is when we dress up in what society considers as female clothing.

When males are in drag we are called drag queens in which we wear dresses/gowns, makeup, wigs, nails, heels, and etc. Meanwhile we are dresses up we perform lip sync, dance, model, impersonate, and etc.

Sophie

Oh! I see. This is really interesting. Do you have a family you live with?

Gigi

When i am in drag my drag name is GG. I created this drag persona because it allows me to do what i love.

Ever since i was little i loved girls clothes, makeup, heels and performing. So i thought i was a girl for so many years. But when i started growing up i knew i wasn’t a girl but i wanted to do all those things.

Then i discovered drag which is what helped saved my life and i get to do what i love. And it is a way for me to be an inspiration for many gay youth out there.

Gigi

Yes i live with my family. But they are not really okay with the whole idea of me being gay or being a drag queen.

Sophie

What is your dream?

Gigi

My ultimate dream is to be a drag queen. Being a drag queen is what gets me up in the morning. I do what I love and i get to help many people out there. It is such a blessing to here young lgbt+ youth coming up to me to tell me i have inspired them in some sort of way or i have helped them come out and things like that.

Gigi

With drag i just want to become more well known. Travel around the world being a drag queen to reach out to more youth. Basically live life doing drag.

Sophie

Well, everything starts as a dream, and if this is what you’re dreaming of, so be it.

But, may be you need to think more about your family, and consider their viewpoints, probably there’s some truth in it too.

Things could be arguable.

Always there is two opposite views.

Gigi

If they don’t like what i do i don’t care. I’m going to do what makes me happy and makes me feel like i have a purpose in life. Luckily i was blessed with my zumba instructor whom i admire so much and have to thank so much. He has accepted me and has had my back since day one.

Sophie

Apart from being a drag queen, is there any other things that you care for.

Certain study, certain food, certain achievement, etc…?

Gigi

Apart from drag and zumba. Im really interested in modeling. And my other goal is to become a model as my drag persona.

Well i have lost 100 pounds in the course of a year and a half thanks to zumba and motivation from my zumba instructor.

Sophie

So you must have thought about acting too.

Gigi

Yes i have thought about acting as well

Sophie

Modeling, acting, singing, dancing, all go arm in arm, right?

Have you tried getting a part in any movie or TV show?

Gigi

Yes in the drag world yes.

I have recently auditioned for americas next top model.

And i want to audition for rupauls drag race but im not old enough

Sophie

Have you taken any classes in acting, dancing, any art talents?

Gigi

No i have not taken any courses

Sophie

I think producers go to these classes/schools to select new talents from there.

Audition is great also to get involved in media channels.

Gigi

Oh ok i have been thinking about that.

Sophie

What kind of movies you like to watch?

Gigi

I like to watch all kinds of movies. But if i had to pick a favorite drama it would have to be horror

Sophie

Wow! Why?

Gigi

I love a lot of things in horror films. Like death and the haunting.

Sophie

Oh! Are you kidding me, few like death…haha…just kidding
