Do you think that it is legal? Acceptable? Uncontested?
Long story short, perhaps you read our post about the cameras in stores few weeks ago, which was the start of our students’ debate about the legality of doing two or three things with your employees.
- Taking your employees‘ video-tapes or recorded discs and using them in training your new hire.
- Forcing your employees for wearing a certain T-shirt carrying the logo of your business.
- Storing the tapes of your employees to be used by different authorities any time without their permission or acknowledgement.
The students are not a law School students but they were arguing as citizens who have rights to protect. Definitely, you’d welcome others’ opinions since respect is appreciated when you are debating.
If you were an attorney or a lawyer, or a law-maker, our groups need your help and answer regarding the above-mentioned questions.
If it was not legal, should employees be compensated for it? For how many years? Or may be a class action is preferred.
