When a teacher says that Math is like another language for her students, it’s a big no. This seems, in the eyes of educators, to be as if she has never been a teacher.
You can’t claim that Math is as difficult as learning another language. It makes you look like you do not understand what you talk about.
Math is numbers and numbers are stable. One plus one is always two; nothing is going to change this simple Math example.
Language is all-colors words. You can mend it, change it, beautify it, elevate it, or delete it. Language if not used, it dies, while numbers do not. Math problems you don’t have to like it or dislike it. All what you need is to understand the rule in order to apply it.
On the other hand, language can drive you crazy b/c it is changeable all the time. Language develops and serve humans in how to express themselves while you can’t do this using numbers.
In brief, language is words, but Math is numbers, and both are great to learn.
