It is so funny! When you were at high school, you were in a race to get your driver’s license. It felt that it was a very important piece of paper. When you got it, you celebrated with your friends. You started to fulfill your dream of driving a car.

Now, thinking about it, you feel so funny asking yourself: “Why was I dying to get it? Was I a fool?” No and yes. You were not a fool; it was just the enthusiasm of youth. It was being excited about something you never experienced before.

And yes, because it did not deserve all that deadly eagerness. Your family should have guided you better.

The majority of youth drivers are acting irrational while driving very fast and showing a high rate of fatalities according to the DMV in CA:

Who is most at risk? The risk of motor vehicle crashes is higher among teens aged 16–19 than among any other age group. In fact, per mile driven, teen drivers in this age group are nearly three times as likely as drivers aged 20 or older to be in a fatal crash.

Every family that has a potential young driver should pay a serious attention to their kids’ driving habits and any related circumstances when they are in that age range 16-20. It is mainly to protect their children and others.

Remember, one of our missions is to help some of the people who suffer from being hungry or homeless. Gladly our team was able to distribute food and blankets for a number of homeless in Berkeley and Oakland. This is one of the tasks that we assigned to ourselves to do- to help the helpless.
